Graduation is coming up pretty quick and it’s crazy to me that senior year passed us all up in a blink of an eye. It seems like after the first semester the days have gone by a lot faster. Starting the second semester it began to kick in that graduation was only a few months away. These past few weeks we have placed our orders for our cap and gowns, payed for our grad night trip and we have taken our senior panoramic. Since we have been doing so much lately I’m beginning to get anxious for graduation, I can't wait to finally close this chapter and begin a new one as a college student in a few months.
For Fall of 2016 I will be attending COS. After going on mutiple ride alongs and talking about my future career with the police officers, they suggested to attend COS because of the great police academy. I also chose to go to COS because I would be close to family and I would be able to meet new people and make tons of new memories. I have completed my fafsa and a cal grant form, so I am thankful to receive help financially to attend college. I’m really excited to go to college and get a whole new life experience, I know it will be challenging but with the supportive parents that I have I know I can achieve whatever I set my mind to do.
Knowing that this is the last semester of my four years of High School makes me nervous, but excited at the same time because I have the pressure that I need to pass all classes no matter what in a couple of months so I’ve been trying to get ahead of pace and finish all assignments so that I won’t be stressed out the last couples of weeks. I’m really looking forward to grad night, grad night is probably the most memorable day of high school. All my friends are sitting close to me on the bus so I know that on the way there and back it will be a great time.
Throughout my past four years I have had my ups and downs, I’m really glad to have the friends I have this year. They have helped me become a better person and have supported me through all my challenges. I’m really grateful to have helpful teachers that always strived me to do better. I can’t wait to walk down the field and receive my diploma, making all my family proud. I am thankful for the past four years here at lhs for helping find myself and becoming the person I am today.
